The Idol Series Gives The Most Bang for the Buck
A wider base allows for a thinner body to be used without balance problems. Set neck allows a slim neck joint and offers comfortable access to the upper register.
The Idol series gives guitarists more bang for their buck. A lightning fast neck with jumbo frets compliments the slimline body, and Washburn's Voice Contour Control will give you any tone you desire. V.C.C. changes the tone of the pickup by blending coils rather than the standard filter. Single coil type sounds and humbucking type sounds and anything in between is possible.
The Buzz Feiten Tuning System was created by session music player Buzz Feiten (he performed at Woodstock with Paul Butterfield, so he is a veteran) in 1998 which simply put, allows the guitar to play in tune with itself. You do not tune the guitar any differently than before, but for best results, use the Korg DT-7 Tuner, which has Buzz Feiten settings on it. Buzz slightly adjusted the nut and recalculated intonation settings, the guitar now plays beautifully in tune with itself up and down the neck. Try a Bar D chord and you will immediately hear the difference. That's why guitar God's like Van Halen, Robert Fripp, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Adrian Belew and many others have switched to this system.
