Ok here's the story. This Stealth was made during the last production runs before Washburn's patent expired and Dean began making them. The dealer who purchased it was Boogie Street Guitars. A very reputable custom Washburn dealer- Check out his Ebay store. He's been doing this forever and still has 100% positive feedback. http://myworld.ebay.com/www.boogiestreet.com/. Anyways- He sold it to one of his regular customers, but the customer wanted a bare neck so Eric of BSG handed it over to guitar tech Fred Kowalo to strip the neck. Fred is long time tech for Zack Wylde, BLS and Ozzy, and has also worked with Shinedown, Megadeth and numerous others. Fred striped the neck down and off it went. He also signed the headstock and numbered it as one of five he was working on at the time. See the third picture. Around the time this was happening was when I first started working with Boogie Street and I was looking for a Stealth but the patent was up and there were none to be found. Six months later the customer contacted Eric because he has back problems and asked if he could return it. Eric, knowing I wanted one, contacted me and asked if I had the money and I said heck yeah. It is because of this, it being returned to the dealer and resold that this was probably the last Stealth in the world with Washburn factory warranty intact. So I got the guitar. I tried my best to get used to the bare neck but couldn't so I had the neck professionally refinished. But I didn't want to ruin the history of the guitar since Fred had worked on it so when it came to the headstock I had it clear coated instead of painting it black like the rest of the neck to preserve Fred's signature. Again see the third picture. So here we are. I really hate to let this guitar go but I don't play it that much since I am now sponsored by Jackson guitars. Even before that I didn't play it out that much cause I didn't want to wear and tear it. I mainly used it for studio work or when we would play a show close to Dec 8th I would bring it out to pay tribute to the man. The case is in excellent condition except for one small tear near the middle latch. My name and the word Stealth are painted on top the case. I did this for security reasons so no one could try to run off with it. My name is also written in sharpie on the inside of electronics cover. Again for security reasons. I have purchased from ebay before but this is my first sale so I will do my best to make sure everything goes as smoothly as possible. I think I was pretty thorough but if you have any questions please contact me. So here it is. The first WASHBURN Stealth on ebay in years so have at it. I just want it to go to a good home to someone who will appreciate it like I do but give it the love and attention I can't. Getcha pull!
