New Washburn WJ55SCENS Jumbo Acoustic Electric Guitar Solid Spruce Top
I have sold over 40 basses and guitars on Ebay without a return. Please feel free to check my feedback and bid with confidence. You are bidding on an immaculate one owner 1993 Washburn Mercury Series MB-8 4 string bass. Highly sought after due to its' being Washburns' final collaboration with Status. It was only built in 1992 and 1993 following the XS Series, and preceding the Bantam Series. I am only selling because I got laid off. This baby is a beautiful Teal Green with a book matched flamed Maple top. The alder body is carved front and back making it very comfortable to play. Gorgeous Maple neck with angled headstock and Ebony fingerboard. It has 24 jumbo frets with top and side inlays. The tuners are sealed Gotohs, and the bridge is Washburn's high mass model. The hardware is all gold including the added kill switch which allows the benefit of silencing the output signal without adjusting the volume. Very handy. Everything else is stock. The Status 18V passive soapbars and 2-band EQ will go from smooth fat to an edgy growl. Controls are volume, bass cut/boost, treble cut/boost, and blend. This bass has been extremely well cared for. There are some very light pick marks that only show when the light hits it just right. The back has some very light buckle rash, but there are no chips or dings whatsoever. The headstock is pretty much perfect. There is some light patina on the bridge where the hand lays, and as the photos illustrate, part of the word Status on one of the pickups has worn off. For a 17 year old bass, it is near mint. You won't see another one of these around. Also included is a custom molded Washburn/SKB hard shell case with plush lining, a matching strap, allen wrenches, and the key. Yes, it locks. It also is in excellent condition.I am selling this beautiful and rare bass for less than I have in it. I have now included free shipping. This is a boutique quality bass at a fraction of the cost. Someone please give her a new home.
